About Terry Mitchell Collier
Terry Mitchell Collier is the President and Founder of 20 Mill, Inc. A firm that specializes in Marketing, Publicity and Artist Management. Terry spent over 18 years in television and is a former executive of The Walt Disney Company serving as Vice President of Digital Broadcast Communications and Productions for the Disney/ABC Television Group in Burbank, CA. As department head she oversaw live event coverage, production and distribution of broadcast, radio and social media content implementing media coverage for such events as the Emmy's, American Music Awards, the Disney announcement acquisition of Marvel Entertainment and media campaigns for the Emmy nominated Grey's Anatomy, Academy Awards®, Desperate Housewives and Dancing with the Stars. She also was an integral part of the event strategy for the the twice-yearly Television Critics Association press tours and the yearly “up fronts” presentations in New York City where ABC’s new fall line-up was announced.
Among her accomplishments during her tenure at ABC Television:Oversaw the development and implementation of the first network video content delivery platform which transformed the way press received full episodes, soundbites, and short form content via streaming or downloadable capabilities for the Disney ABC Television Group. She traveled across the globe as field producer conducting interviews with celebrities such as actor/director Mel Gibson, Terrence Howard, the late Christopher Reeves, James Spader, rapper Snoop Dogg, Bill Maher, basketball Hall of Famer Charles Barkley, Martin Luther King III, Muhammad Ali's trainer the late Angelo Dundee, Oscar winner Ben Kingsley, Dylan McDermott, and Alfre Woodard.
Terry began her illustrious television career handling nominations submissions and event ticketing for the highly rated NAACP Image Awards show (for several years). She also was a staffer on the Black Achievement Awards and the National Medical Association’s Tribute to Medicine which was directed by Debbie Allen. It was during this time that an ABC executive took notice of Terry’s work and brought her to the network as an assistant to the director of what was then known as the Media Relations Department. It is a tribute to her talent, eye for innovation and attention to detail that she rose to eventually head the department expanding it from a staff of six to a staff of 15 overseeing its successful transformation into the digital age. In this role, she regularly lectured at UCLA for its “Working with the Media” course.
A proud native of Oxnard, Terry is a United States Navy veteran who followed in her father’s footsteps and served her country in Japan, Korea and the Philippines. She participated in Disney's important Veterans Initiative as an on-camera spokesperson for the Hereos Work Here campaign. A member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and the Screen Actors Guild, Terry is no stranger to on camera work, she most recently appeared on an episode of Home Made Simple, a home improvement series on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network, a commercial for M & M's Candy performing with her accordian and Annie's Homegrown. She is also an anchor and multimedia journalist for Canyons News. Terry served as the 2020, 2021 & 2023 President of the Valencia High Band & Color Guard Booster Board. She has served on the Board of Trustees for the Wesley School in North Hollywood as Co-Chair for the Committee on Diversity and Inclusivity (CODI), and is currently the Director of the Media and Marketing Ministry at Valencia Christian Center.
Terry lives in Santa Clarita, CA with her husband and their two college bound sons.
